The House of Representatives on Monday passed on second reading the proposed measure aiming to establish a compensation fund for recipients of COVID-19 vaccines in case of adverse reactions.
The lower chamber of Congress approved House Bill 8648 or the Act Expediting the Procurement and Administration of Vaccines for the Protection Against the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Providing Funds Therefor, And For Other Purposes a vote of ayes and nays.
The bill, certified as urgent by President Rodrigo Duterte last week, also seeks to expedite the procurement and administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
